Swedish ivy plant
Plectranthus, also called lucky plant or Swedish ivy, is a succulent plant.
It is a variety to grow indoors.
It is native to South Africa and Australia depending on the species.
Its leaves can reach up to 6 cm in diameter, they are rounded, slightly oval and dark green in color.
They are sometimes ribbed with silver and have purple undersides.
The purple colored flower usually appears in autumn.
Its seeds are very fine and resemble those of flame nettle.
It has the particularity of being offered to give wealth to the one who receives it.
It is a very well-known superstition in Spain.
In Spain, this species is called: "la planta del dinero".
It is also an excellent depolluting plant just like the jade tree.
Lucky plant 10 to 25 cm high, delivered in a plug with a good, well-developed root system.
Upon receipt, transplant it into a one or two liter pot with good horticultural soil, drain the bottom of the pot well then water gently when planting.
Then place it in a very bright place.
In a mild climate, it is possible to grow Swedish ivy directly in the ground.
